ALI TOYNE

PAINTINGS

Alexandra Toyne is the artist behind Ali Toyne Art and she is on a mission to spread a little bit of joy through her work.  She is largely self taught, with a BaHons degree in Fine Art Valuation from Southampton.  Working from her Hertfordshire countryside studio, she paints mainly in acrylics on canvasses of various sizes, which she fills with an energetic combination of colour, shape and texture.

Ali loves nature, with its unending inspiration, and uses flowers and foliage as her subject matter.  Feathery ferns and forget-me-nots next to the bold positivity of peonies and roses with the winding shapes of ivy, for example, can create such interesting visual effects and tell a story that is individual to each viewer.  Ali often includes abstract, striking backgrounds to contrast with or elevate her floral compositions and enjoys juxtaposing different elements within her work. Ultimately, she aims to create vibrant and uplifting pieces for her customers to engage with and hopes to give them a burst of beauty to take home!

Exhibiting at The Wynd Gallery, Letchworth and The Mardleybury Gallery, Datchworth. www.alitoyneart.com   @ali_toyne_art
