Following on from our successful 2025 Wynd Artist of the Year Competition, The Wynd Gallery are pleased to announce Art in The Wynd 2026, incorporating our popular live art competition with a market showcasing independent artists and makers. Join us for a day that promises creativity and enjoyment.

Join us from 10am to 4pm to explore a showcase of independent artists and makers and make a day of it by stopping by our local cafés and brewery for something delicious.

We're excited to bring back our popular live art competition for its third year! Talented local artists and makers will compete for the title of Wynd Artist of the Year, creating a one‑of‑a‑kind piece in the medium of their choice, whether that’s paint, clay, textiles, digital art, or something completely unexpected, all within just four hours.

A panel of judges will award prizes, while the coveted People’s Choice Award will be determined by public vote. Judging will begin at 3pm

Applications are now open to register interest in the competition; further details will be sent to applicants.

Independent artists and makers interested in showcasing and selling their work at the makers market can secure a 3m x 3m pitch for only £35 for the day.

Please remember to bring your own gazebo, chair, and table, and ensure you have public liability insurance.

We are also providing complimentary parking for one car for our participants.
