QUIETLY CONNECTED

21st - 29th October 2023

Quietly Connected
Lucy Sugden
21 st -29 th October
Glimpse into a woven world of nature and gardens in Lucy’s one-week solo show at The Wynd Gallery.
Lucy is a woven tapestry artist who loves to weave with fishing line! A love of light play and garden life inspires much of her work which she creates using traditional woven tapestry techniques on anupright loom, and her own exploration of the tapestry processes on the circle loom.

‘My work explores a fascination of light play, combining fibres and a love of nature. It is important to me to maintain a sustainable art practice by recycling and upcycling fibres where possible, which has become an integral part of how I work’.

To accompany her exhibition Lucy is holding a series of events at The Wynd Gallery. Tapestry sampler workshops on Monday 23 rd October, family weaving workshops on Wednesday 25 th October
and she is hosting one of her talks on the evening of Thursday 26 th October.

For full information of these events please visit her website on the following link lucysugden.co.uk
