SARAH HEWITT

As a local landscape oil painter, Sarah is inspired by views of the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside. Through a strong use of colour to depict the effects of light in her paintings, she aims to produce contemporary impressionistic pieces which create an emotional response in the viewer, providing an escape and a moment of mindful calm. 

 

Sarah has developed a particular love for using oil paint whether she’s completing a landscape or still life painting. Its versatility, the ability to use various additives and its buttery texture, all allow her to make thick textural marks using both brushes and palette knives.
